plasmatio PSL(s?)

To try to make better the fact that the canon asshole is by far the stronger voice in my head than the best protag :(
[Locked while the game was running, for the record.]
BELATEDLY, I SHOULD EXPLAIN HERE.
I'm willing to plug Felix into just about any scenario you'd like. If the game went exactly the same but he was there (and we won't worry about stuff that was Alex's fault needing someone to blame), the changes he might have made to the overall gameplay, hell I can pretend Alex is still around too/toss him in if you want. I am honestly entirely unsure who he'd start out aligned with (because outside of Fortune idk which two would have offered), but yes!
Also, Felix is the protag of the second Golden Sun game. He supposedly died three years earlier but it turns out some antagonists trying to save the world (I know) saved him and basically ruined his life by making him work for them against his hometown. He's a nice guy really, but he's pretty self-sacrificial to a fault and doesn't want other people to get caught up in his crap if they don't have to.
Most importantly, he's not Alex. So~!
WEEK 3

Which is why upon entering the West Wing this week, Felix can feel his stomach drop. This didn't just seem familiar, he knew exactly where he was. And with what he recalled about the nature of these wings from the last couple of weeks...
He takes off running, kicking up dust from the sandy streets. He has to find her. The "god" who had made this of all places in a strange world, whichever one it was.
...Fortune, it had to be Fortune.
True, he was a fairly quiet person, and meeting gods apart from [whoever he'd align with idk] hadn't seemed like it needed to be a priority, but still, why hadn't he seen it?!
Felix will keep
pressing Brunning until he spots the short, masked deity.]no subject
But it's still pretty obviously Sheba. She's sitting on the roof of the house she grew up in, legs dangling over the side. She leans forward as she sees Felix approach, and he can probably imagine the look on her face as she giggles, because he's seen it a thousand times during their journey together.]
Hi, Felix.
no subject
Without a word yet (surprise surprise), he quickly scans the outside to see if there's a way up to the roof. It's not like he was invited to hang out the one time he was here, after all. Thanks for the terrorism, Saturos and Menardi... But
video gamelogic would of course say it's inside the house, so he heads straight inside. At least this is entirely normal for him.Luckily the ladder is pretty obvious once he's inside, especially with no one else there. I'm not sure if it's possible to run up a ladder, but he's at least trying.
He hasn't even finished climbing when he finally speaks up.]
Sheba...?! What's going on?
no subject
He's guessed her name, so she's allowed to answer, even if she can't take off the mask here.]
...I guess I was a little homesick. I didn't plan on making Lalivero for this wing at first...
[And, well.
...maybe she'd wanted to hint to him that she was here.]
no subject
I meant...what are you even doing here? Why are you with the gods?
no subject
It's the Wise One's fault!
[Well, that's not entirely fair. She seems to know that, because she shrugs lightly as she continues explaining.]
...but it's my fault, too. You remember when we were at the top of Mars Lighthouse, right? And we found out what he did...? I was so mad... I yelled a lot of things at him, even though I'm not sure he was there. And after I did, it was like I heard a voice from somewhere inside of me, asking if I thought I could do it better.
[...]
I said yes. The next thing I knew, I was in this world, and I'd already become Fortune.
no subject
Holy shit, you WERE serious with Alex...Felix's expression just says "question mark emote".]
Of course I do...
[That's probably his canon point. Maybe I should have thought about that. Oops.]
But...I don't understand. That was just a couple weeks ago.
[Although his tone and the worried scowl make it clear that he's somehow doubtful of that fact. And, since it doesn't make sense to him, it's that much more troubling.]
no subject
[Sheba is quiet for a few moments, trying to order her thoughts and figure out how best to explain it.]
For all of us... it's been a few weeks, plus about a month or two, since we ascended. Some of the other gods... they're from a place called "Japan," but even though the same amount of time has passed for them here, they were from different years or months. In Weyard, I ascended and you answered the call... probably within seconds of each other. But much more time had passed for me here before you answered the call.
Does that make sense?
no subject
Yes. And no.
[Even ignoring the time factor, something is just striking him as wrong here.]
So you're all right? What does your follower count mean?
[He can't RP how mad he was at Alex in headspace, but ohhhh boy...]
no subject
I'm okay. I'm... vulnerable now, which means all of you can use your powers on me if you want to, but nobody's figured that out yet. Or if they have, they haven't bothered to try it.
[Which is a relief.]
...depending on who loses a follower this week, I might wind up on the suspect list. If their followers can convince all of you to vote for me, I'll be taken out of the competition. So... I'm going to try and lie low this week. If I don't make any of the other gods mad, maybe I won't be on the list.
no subject
What?!
[IS HE GONNA HAVE TO JUMP INTO A BOLT OF LIGHTNING...]
I'll help you! I'll make sure they don't vote for you. And I'll join you as soon as I can!
no subject
Felix, it's okay. Calm down.
[She puts a hand on his arm.]
...to be honest, I wouldn't blame any of them if that's what they did if I showed up on the list. We gods are expecting all of you to put your lives on the line to solve our problems. Shouldn't we be at risk, too? [...] Of course, I'd prefer it if that didn't happen! That's why I'm trying hard to stay off the list, and to convince some of the others to join me too.
I definitely want you on my team, but I don't want you to be my only follower. If I got voted for and you were the only one with me, then...
[She'd have to watch him die. No thanks!]
no subject
and you run out so easily! He does seem to make an effort to be calmer, but he's still just as upset. In theory, that explanation is only fair, but he is clearly very averse to her dying, okay?]
I won't leave you at risk. What do you think we need to do?
[Because despite him being the group leader, clearly she is far more informed on this situation than he is.]
no subject
[She hums, thinking it over.]
One of my followers didn't leave me by choice. He said that he would check in with me at the end of the week, and come back if I hadn't found anyone to take his place... I don't want to lie to him, though. If I know you're going to join me, I can't tell him that I haven't found anyone.
I think, for now... be subtle. See if there's anyone who's not really happy with their current god. Ruin still has followers, can you believe it? And I don't have any? Come on. If anyone is thinking about leaving, let me know. If I speak with them, I might be able to convince them to join me.
no subject
[So...hopefully his expression isn't as readable as it usually is. Or she's not looking at him carefully enough. And also hopefully she isn't planning on using this opportunity with him not having Psynergy to try to read his mind... Because Mistakes Were Made. And he knows how you can get when you're unhappy.
But you know how he tends to see himself in the grand scheme of things! And he's used to rock-related powers
I actually looked it up and picked omg.]I'm not really replacing anyone, anyway. I'm joining you.
[Nod.] I'll see what I can find out. I can talk to them about it too, if that's easier.
[Since I assume he met and got along with people? No one outside Golden Sun wants Felix PSLs sob.]
no subject
I'm sorry, that was mean. She probably won't be very happy when you leave her for me, but we can deal with that together.
Just... be careful. Don't do anything to tip your hand too soon. I don't want to see anything happen to you, you know?
no subject
His head just...droops. It's just the weight of how stupid he feels right now. This is comparable to finding out Alex only helped them to take all of the unleashed Alchemy for himself, okay. And considering they're on the roof, the distance it takes for him to stare at the ground seems fitting.]
I'm sorry...
...Right, obviously the stakes are pretty high here. So then I should just tell you who wants to defect?
no subject
[She shrugs.]
I'm allowed to approach people on my own. I'm not allowed to read minds, though, so I'd appreciate it if you could tip me off.
no subject
[The Mind Read thing would be a relief if he thought that still mattered...]
Should I find you here, or...?
[He actually takes a moment to glance around what he can see of the wing. Still avoiding eye contact with her thanks to the shame, which is...not hard with that getup. Anyway, they're being candid enough right now, but this isn't exactly a private area, either.]
no subject
[She sounds like she's trying not to laugh at that, but it's funny, the Divine Child of Lalivero growing up to be an actual god...]
no subject
That does sound strange. Needing "offerings" or "prayers" just to talk...
no subject
[hence the reason why they're out in public right now...]
no subject
And you're sure it'll be okay to lay low while I'm helping you?
[Stubbornly staying concerned.]
im back to curse your inbox now that i have laptop access again
[She nods once.]
For more than one reason, too. If another god does try to get their followers to knock me out of the competition... if I only have one follower, and you've been obvious about trying to help me, people will know to go after you. I'd rather not see that happen. [They have advised people to keep their alignments a secret for a reason!] Also, if none of the other participants know their alignment, they can't use that knowledge to make you do something you don't want to. Information is key in this contest. The less of it you give to other people, the better.
yaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyy~
[He's still making a troubled frown though. True, he's definitely good at keeping his mouth shut and pretending to want to push his friends away, but he can't shake the feeling there's something wrong.]
I guess that means I should get going, then...
no subject
[And legitimately the last thing she wants is for whoever was responsible for her losing her followers to get the idea to bump Felix off to keep her vulnerable.]
...stay safe, okay? Be careful.
no subject
Anyway, he nods.]
I will. You, too. Let me know if you need any help.
[And with that, he'll start to stand up.]
no subject
I will. Thank you, Felix.

Then for some reason, he extends an arm in its direction, flexing his hand so the palm faces it. After that, he spends several moments looking like he's just...concentrating really really hard.
Finally, he lowers his arm and drops to a sitting position on the ground by the casket, turning away from it in the process. He slams his fist against the ground once, and then just stays there for quite a while, scowling angrily at nothing in particular.]
